Faculty Spotlight: Angie Mynatt

Today we are shining our spotlight on Angie Mynatt, the 7th Grade World History teacher! This is the start of Mrs. Mynatt's 29th year teaching at CAK.

We asked Mrs. Mynatt a few questions. Click to read her answers.
Why do you choose to teach at CAK?
In the beginning, I chose CAK because it was a small, Christian school where I could send my kindergarten daughter. When they saw on her application that I was a teacher, I was contacted. After prayer, I felt God's call to switch from Bearden Middle to CAK. Now twenty-eight years later, you could say that I am 100% sold on Christian education and CAK!

Tell us about your family.
I have been married to my best friend, Tim, for 35 years. We have two children who both attended CAK from K-12 grades. Haley lives in Geneva, Switzerland with her husband, Philippe, and daughters Catherine and Caroline. She teaches 5th grade at an international school. Grayson is finishing his residency this June in family medicine at the University of Missouri Medical Center.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at CAK?
I love that I can point students to Jesus and share his word and my faith. I also enjoy partnering with parents to teach their children in a Christian environment.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love traveling, especially with my Swiss granddaughters. I enjoy reading and being outside in God's creation. #cakwarriors #cakms
