Christian Academy of Knoxville is pleased to announce the promotion of Christa Margene as Director of Marketing and Communications. For the past several months, Christa has been handling all of CAK’s communications and marketing needs on an interim basis. Previous to that, she served as the store manager of CAK Outfitters for three and a half years and the assistant to Julya Johnson, the former Director of Marketing and Communications, for a year and a half.
Senior, Nathan Ogle, is holding a collection drive for CareCuts, a nonprofit organization that helps needy and homeless people in Knox County. The drive consists of one CareCuts collection bin placed in each school on campus. Nathan is asking students and parents to drop off new or gently used shoes and/or backpacks in the bin at their individual schools between August 10th and August 19th.
Nathan has set up a friendly competition between schools to see which one can collect the most shoes and/or backpacks. As a reward, all the students of that school will be given a dress-down day on Friday, August 26th! Good luck to each school...let the collecting begin!
An exciting partnership between CAK's digital media program, Warrior Network, and Full Sail University has been established!
The digital media program at Christian Academy of Knoxville has recently been named a Full Sail University High School Partnership Program for its emphasis on creative thinking and hands-on curricula encouraging students to pursue their dreams within the entertainment, media, arts, and technology industries.
The mission of Christian Academy of Knoxville is to partner with Christian families to provide a comprehensive college preparatory education from a biblical worldview in a Christ-centered environment.
