Message from the Athletic Director

CAK's Athletics Department is comprised of God-gifted coaches and parents dedicated to helping our student-athletes achieve their full potential physically, academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

While we work hard to field the most competitive teams possible and continuously enhance our athletics facilities, our foremost goal is to create an environment for spiritual growth. Our coaches strive to develop mentoring relationships with our athletes and to teach our athletes how to respect their opponents with a character that reflects Jesus’ love.

Our coaches are committed to pursuing excellence, making your student-athletes feel loved and that their contributions to the team are valued.

  • CAK Announces AD and Head Football Coach

Christian Academy of Knoxville is pleased to announce Chad Speck as the new Athletic Director and Head High School Football Coach!

Speck served as the wide receivers coach at CAK the previous two seasons and was instrumental in creating the team’s leadership development program. He was a two-time team captain of Clemson’s football team and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in PRTM with an emphasis in Sports Management (Magna Cum Laude 2001). He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with Honors in 2004.

"I would like to thank Mr. Fulford for trusting me to lead the athletic department and football program," said Speck. "We share a vision for what athletics can be and without his support, I would not be here - I am excited and can’t wait to get started."

"We set out to find the absolute best candidate to serve as CAK Director of Athletics with a vision of discipleship that permeates all areas of our school,” says Rich Fulford, CAK Head of School. “Who God brought to us is not only an outstanding leader to serve as Athletic Director but a godly man to carry out that vision as Head Football Coach as well! I am excited about the future of CAK Athletics under the direction of Chad Speck." Congratulations, Chad!
