Did you always dream of becoming an author?
No, I never imagined myself as an author nor do I have a degree in writing. I just have a deep desire to tell others about Jesus! I also love books, so much so that I have my own mini library at home. I am blessed with the opportunity to volunteer in the school library and help children get excited about reading. I decided to write a book for many reasons:
In August 2020, my desperate prayer was to be used by God! I was introduced to an online writers workshop Zoom class given by a local self-publisher and author. Throughout the following nine months, I wrote a chapter a week until the book was finished. It was an amazing journey, listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to create a beautiful witnessing tool!
My advice about the publishing part is to just write, write, write! When the timing is right, God will make a way! Finding a local publisher or even becoming one yourself is an option I never knew was available until this journey.

Ruby and The Treasure Within is about an 8-year-old girl who is in third grade. Ruby loves to climb trees, sing songs and make friends! She experiences common challenges of bullying and sadness but ultimately finds joy in a special friendship that leads her to the greatest love she has ever known!

Purchasing the book is very simple on my website www.tonyacelestehobbs.com! I receive orders directly and will write a personalized note on each copy if indicated. Payment options are PayPal, Credit Card or cash at pick up. Locations to meet are Empty Cup unless otherwise coordinated at the school.
