Christian Academy of Knoxville is excited to announce Bobby Deets as the new High School Boys Soccer Coach. Deets is not new to Knoxville. He comes to CAK from Concord Christian School where he has coached since 2015. While there, Deets has led his team to multiple district semifinals and finals, and to the regional semifinals.
In addition to coaching at CAK, Deets also coaches for the Knoxville Soccer Academy where his team went to the NASA Cup finals, the Norcross Cup finals, and the Gatlinburg Cup finals.
“My goal is first and foremost to point student athletes to Christ by actions and words,” says Deets. “Additionally, I strive to develop a never ending love, passion, and working knowledge of the game through creating a sense of urgency in addition to technical and tactical training.”
“Coach Deets brings a depth of experience gained over many years of coaching,” says Ried Estus, CAK Athletic Director. “What impressed us the most though is how he integrates faith into coaching, student athlete relationship building, pursuing academic excellence and integrity. He’s a great addition to our staff.”
Deets was a scholarship player for Erskine College where he also holds his Bachelor of Arts with a major in Christian Education. Additionally, Deets holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is an accredited interscholastic coach by the National Federation of High Schools, has earned his Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma from United Soccer Coaches, and holds a National C,D,E, and F license from the United States Soccer Federation.
Deets lives in Knoxville with his wife Priscilla, sons Nathan Anders and Daughter Emma. His hobbies are hiking, soccer education and on occasion golf his favorite verses: Philippians 2:1-18.
