Earlier this week, an edited image that was made to look as if it came from CAK was circulated online. This image took a real weather statement from us about a weather delay due to black ice and edited the language to make it appear like a racist remark. Before saying anything else, CAK strongly condemns this action and this language. It is unacceptable and extremely hurtful. Administration is investigating.
In today's digital age, it is unfortunately very easy to falsify information. So, how can you be sure the messages you receive are actually from CAK? There are a few ways:
Go to myCAK or cakwarriors.com - on both of these sites, the message was correct
Check that the email you receive came from an @cakmail.org email address or from an @myschoolemails.com email address. Communications messaging comes from either communications@cakmail.org or christianacademyofknoxville@myschoolemails.com
Check our official social medial channels, @CAKwarriors, on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
If you see a "screenshot" shared by someone that is NOT an official CAK channel, go directly to cakwarriors.com and check to see if that information is correct
