CAK Announces Momentous Capital Campaign

KNOXVILLE, TN – Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) launched a capital campaign in the fall of 2020 to initiate campus and academic improvements. To date, the school has raised $6,895,403 which is above the initial goal of $6,840,000.
“I am thrilled for what God has in store for the students, staff, and families who make up the CAK community throughout this endeavor,” said Rich Fulford, CAK head of school. “This is such an exciting time of growth, opportunity, and investment in the future of our school.”

Due to the rising cost of inflation, the school anticipated needing to scale back their plans. However, upon reaching this initial goal, the campaign team decided to adjust the goal by 10% to a new goal of $7,515,000, which will not only cover the cost of inflation but also allow for key enhancements to the original plan.

The campaign, aptly titled Building His Masterpiece, will enable CAK to: (1) enhance technology for academics and infrastructure: (2) establish an endowment for the purpose of making Christian education sustainable and affordable; (3) build a Christian Life Center (CLC) dedicated to the spiritual growth of students in their personal relationship with Christ. The new CLC will also enable students to develop and use their creative talents to honor Christ in worship and artistic performance. The adjusted goal allows for upgrades to the CLC including enhanced lighting and sound, additional parking, better HVAC mounting for a quieter sound, and more.

“We are excited to partner with our CAK family through the Building His Masterpiece campaign,” said Paul and Jen Brady, campaign co-chairs. “What a joy to be able to give back to a school that has invested so much in our children and our family. We are trusting God that this campaign will open up more doors for CAK to invest in our students both academically and spiritually.”

CAK Board of Trustees president, Steffanie Speck, commented, “We appreciate all who have given and those who will give. Your generous support will facilitate increased opportunities for biblical community and spiritual growth, enhanced academics, and establish an endowment that will help to keep Christian education affordable. Thank you for loving CAK and believing in its mission! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our school. All glory to God!”

School leadership plans to break ground for the Christian Life Center in the spring of 2022.
