Knoxville, TN - Christian Academy of Knoxville is excited to announce Hannah Seaver as the new High School Varsity Head Softball Coach. Seaver is no stranger to CAK. Since 2018, Seaver has been teaching art at the school, and in 2019 she began coaching the middle school softball team which she will continue to coach.

“Hannah affords us a seamless, consistent culture and coaching philosophy within our two softball teams,” says CAK Athletic Director Ried Estus. “While she values hard work, she has an uplifting spirit, and her coaching is affirming and confidence building.”

Seaver was a 4 year starter at Knoxville Catholic High School and played at Carson Newman University for legendary coach Vickie Kazee-Hollifield. After suffering a knee injury in college, Seaver switched her focus to coaching where she began her career as Knoxville Central High School’s varsity assistant during the 2014 and 2015 seasons helping lead the team to a substate appearance in 2014. After that, Seaver moved to South Doyle High School before the 2016 season where she served as their varsity pitching coordinator and JV head coach. In the fall of 2019, Seaver became the head coach of CAK’s middle school softball program. The Warriors most recent season ended with a 10-4 record.

“Coaching is something that has always always been a part of my life,” says Seaver. “My father worked as a collegiate and professional baseball coach and that inspired me from a young age to pursue it as a career. I saw the way he impacted so many young men’s lives not only as an instructor but also as a mentor-and that is the legacy I am most proud to carry on.”

CAK’s softball team has a history of state championships, winning them back to back in 2016 and 2017. The athletic program at CAK has a reputation for producing excellent, competitive teams, but most importantly teams that integrate faith with athletics.

“Ultimately, if we can use this sport to mold a new generation of strong leaders and we use this team as a means to glorify God, then I think we’ve already accomplished something really special,” says Seaver.
