Christian Academy of Knoxville is excited to announce that long-time and beloved middle school teacher, Mr. Glen Davenport, will be CAK’s Director of Christian Life. This is a new position created out of the desire to fulfill the mission of CAK by leading students, teachers, and families into a deeper relationship with Christ.
“Our highest priority is preparing our students for a Christ-like life, after high school,” says Head of School Rich Fulford. “Glen Davenport brings high energy into everything he does, and I am excited about bringing him into this new role.”

Davenport has been at CAK since 2012 where he has served as 8th grade Bible teacher, middle school Chapel Coordinator, and worship band co-leader. As Director of Christian Life, Davenport will provide leadership in developing the skills to be life-ready as a Christian in an increasingly secular world. He’ll coordinate and plan chapel series with current chapel coordinators, work with principals and school leadership to review and enhance K-12 Bible curriculum, and assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing off-campus spiritual emphasis activities.

“I am truly humbled to be given this opportunity,” says Davenport. “I believe I am most excited about seeing students decide for themselves to follow Jesus holistically in their lives and working with them to find the calling that God has instilled in them.”

Davenport lives in Knoxville with his wife, 6th grade history teacher, Melissa. The couple has two children, both at CAK, Riley (1st grade) and Arya (Kindergarten).
