• "Just Mercy" Screening

  On Martin Luther King Jr Day in January, theCommUNITY Team will be offering a screening of the acclaimed film, Just Mercy. This film is based on the true story of world-renowned civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson working to free a wrongly convicted man on death row. Due to the heavy nature of the material covered in this film, Common Sense Media has given it a rating of 13+.   We also encourage reading the bestselling book that the film was based on, Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. This book gives a wider view of Mr. Stevenson's work and an inspiring understanding of how his Christian faith inspires his passion. There is also a Young Adult adaptation for children ages 12-17.
