Hola! My name is Laura Elliott and I am the Middle School Spanish Teacher. I absolutely LOVE getting to teach Spanish at CAK! I teach 9-week Rotation classes for 6th, 7th and 8th grade, as well as a Zero Period Spanish 1 class for 8th grade students.  My classes are a mixture of vocabulary, culture, grammar, and storytelling, with a significant emphasis on learning through song, games and interactive activities.  We work on memorizing a Bible verse in Spanish, and seek to connect with the cultures of Spanish-Speaking countries around the world.

I grew up in Hudson, Ohio (where I met my husband, Ryan), and went to Miami University (Oxford, OH) where I studied Spanish Education.  After graduating, I spent one year on mission with Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) in Guadalajara, Mexico, where I shared Christ with college students at the University of Guadalajara.  It was during this year that I fell in love with the Mexican culture and people, and really grew in my fluency in Spanish.  I've done Graduate level work in Spanish, and have years of experience teaching Middle School and High School Spanish.   I consider working at CAK Middle School a dream opportunity for me--I get to teach Spanish, love on students and integrate my love for Jesus!! What could be better?!!

If you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to email me at

¡Qué Dios te bendiga! (May God Bless you)
