From elementary to high school, the CAK family collaborates on art

In a Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) tradition going back at least 10 years, students in 2nd and 3rd grades collaborate with high school students on a big art project! 

Mrs.Beaumont's elementary artists first draw a creature. Those creatures are then sent to the high school art class, where older students are tasked with drawing the background, being careful to leave the original artist's drawing exactly the same.

Before working on the background, our high schoolers interview the elementary students about colors they may like or activities they may imagine their creature doing. 

When finished, the high schoolers bring the drawings back to present to the original young artists. It's a favorite project each year!
