CAK Students Spread Love Through Art Around the World

By CAK Communications

Christian Academy of Knoxville's AP Art students are on a mission to spread God's love through their drawings. For the past five years, Ms. Moran's class has taken part in Memory Project, a mission that helps orphans from the Philippines receive drawings of themselves.

"The children view the portraits as treasures," says Ms. Moran. "They send us a video of the delivery, and it is incredibly heartwarming."

Memory Project gathers photos of the children and sends those photos to art students at CAK who then draw them. The finished portraits are all mailed back so the children can keep them. It's a simple thing, but it means so much.

Art students participating include: Isabel Evans, Madeline Parrish, Maya Weaver, Lydia Heinz, Peyton Lollar, Jennings Shomaker, Jackson Scott, Josh Whitaker, Kimmie Garvey, Kennedy Smith, Emily Fry, Molly Grubb, Ellie Fussell, Ashleigh Williams

CAK is proud of our comprehensive and award-winning arts programs. Interested in learning more? Reach out to our admissions at or call us at (865) 813-4CAK.
