Kaitlyn Diddle is the Certified Athletic Trainer at Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK)

Dr. Paul Brady (TOC) is a board certified physician who specializes in the shoulder and knee. He will be on the sidelines of all of our varsity football games. He also donates his services as TOC hosts “physical examination day” at CAK. Dr. Brady and his team offer a reduced cost for physicals to all CAK athletes and donates those funds to the Athletic Department as he is a great supporter of all of our sports teams. Dr. Brady's children attend CAK and he is a school board member.

Tennesse Orthopedic Clinic supplies sports medicine services to all of our CAK athletes. In addition to sideline service at all High School and Middle School home contests, TOC travels with the Varsity Basketball teams and Varsity Football. Mr. Avery has office hours on campus Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until at least 6 p.m. when teams are practicing. The training room is located just inside the campus center building immediately inside the left hallway.

In the case of injury, each student athlete should visit the athletic trainer. Upon referral to Dr. Brady or the TOC team, each family maintains the right to choose their physician. However, it is paramount that CAK’s athletic trainer remains the conduit for information traveling from physician to coach. Any injured athlete must turn in a release (to the trainer) to resume participation. In the case that TOC doctor’s are chosen, the process will be expedited for CAK athletes.

TOC also has an “after hours” walk-in-clinic from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday for any injuries that need immediate attention. TOC also has a Saturday morning walk-in-clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (August 24 until November 2, 2013). Both clinics are at the Tower at Parkwest, 9430 Park West Blvd., ste. 130. The phone number is 865-690-4861.
