What is the Annual Fund and why do we need it?
Over the past few years, one of the strategic moves CAK has made in development is to revive the Annual Fund while eliminating almost all "student sales" (think: cookie dough, wrapping paper, candy bars, etc.). Our desire is to make giving to CAK a simple and strategic process (might we even suggest enjoyable?!) for parents, grandparents, and alumni, while allowing teachers and students to focus on teaching and learning.
Where does Annual Fund money go?
The CAK Annual Fund exists to accelerate our ability to deliver excellence in Christian education while limiting tuition increases. The alternative, to use tuition increases to reach our aspirations, would dramatically affect those who could not afford the school and/or severely limit our efforts to retain quality teachers and our current program offerings.
Gifts to the CAK Annual Fund enhance our model of Christian education by supporting:
- Affordable tuition levels and a robust financial aid program
- A continued commitment to the best in teacher training
- An accelerated ability to introduce excellent academic options
- Aggressive efforts to pay down debt on school facilities
- And additional efforts to compensate our faculty, staff, and administration properly.
How much am I supposed to give to the Annual Fund?
Great question. Obviously, giving is a very personal issue and so I am hesitant to give a blanket answer. But if you would like a suggestion, why don’t you consider giving the same amount that in years gone by you used for purchases of student product sales? For example, if in previous years or at other schools you purchased cookie dough, wrapping paper, flowers, candy, etc. How much do you think you spent? $25? $50? $100? More? Why not give that amount directly to the school as your Annual Fund gift?
Please know that every size gift to the CAK Annual Fund moves us toward our goals and helps support excellent education for the students of CAK.
