Christian Academy of Knoxville's High School is a part of the CAK campus located in West Knoxville. The 77- acre site is strategically designed to encompass five different buildings and athletic facilities including gymnasiums, baseball and softball fields, a track, and soccer and football fields.
The high school curriculum is predominantly college prepatory and ensures that students can be competitive in their choice of colleges. There are Honors classes available at all grade levels and Advanced Placement (college level) courses are offered to qualified students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. CAK students consistently score higher than the state and national average on college entrance exams. Ninety-seven percent of the students go to institutions of higher education.
During their four years, students will fulfill community service requirements in service at CAK and in the community and use their spiritual gifts and interests to produce a Capstone Project.
High school is a time for exploring options, establishing priorities, clarifying values, and charting directions. To help students in the process, our counseling staff provides assistance in personal, academic, and college planning. Academic support is available for those who require a personalized learning environment.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities for developing their social, spiritual, and physical gifts. Students may participate in leadership through election to Student Senate or as class officers, athletics, national conference opportunities and school clubs. Leadership may be extended academically through Scholars' Bowl, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Bible studies and prayer groups are available and underlying all these activities and programs is a caring, supportive spirit, centered in a love and commitment to Jesus Christ.
