High School
Christian Academy of Knoxville's High School is a part of the CAK campus located in West Knoxville. The 77- acre site is beautifully designed to encompass five different buildings and a total athletic facility including gymnasiums, baseball and softball fields, a track, and soccer and football fields.
At the high school level, CAK consistently produces students who are well prepared for life after they graduate. The High school curriculum is diverse and current with the needs of our students for their future higher education. The high school offers advanced placement (college level) courses to qualified students in the 11th and 12th grades. CAK students consistently score higher than state and national averages on college entrance exam. Ninety-seven percent of our students go to institutions of higher education.
During each of their four years, students are required to apply what they learn in practical service to God and others by fulfilling a community service requirement.
High school is a time for exploring options, establishing priorities, clarifying values, and charting directions. To help students in the process, our guidance and counseling staff provide assistance in personal, academic, and college planning. Academic support is available for those who require a personalized learning environment.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities for developing their social, spiritual, and physical gifts. Students may participate in leadership through the Student Senate, class officers, and outdoor activities such as CAK's very active TREK outdoor club. Leadership may be extended academically through Scholars' Bowl, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Student-led Bible studies and prayer groups are available. Underlying all these activities and programs is a caring, supportive spirit, centered in a love and commitment to Jesus Christ.
