Learning Lab
The old computer lab has been transformed into a wonderful new space
for students to use. The Learning Lab has a coordinator who assists
groups of students with academic help during 6th-8th grade Study Hall
and Activity periods for all make-up tests or re-testing. This service is free.


Accelerated Math
The Learning Center has purchased the Accelerated Math program
from the same organization that provides Accelerated Reader in the
Elementary. Accelerated Math will be used for academic support to
enhance math skills both for the underachiever as well as the
overachiever. Each math class as well as the Learning Center room has
been equipped with computers to assist and encourage students to
improve their math skills. There is no charge for this excellent program.


Backpack Check
For students who struggle to get home with their books and their
assignments written down correctly, Backpack Check is a safety net for
parents who need additional assistance with their student. Students will
come after school with their backpacks ready and their agenda/planners
signed for teachers to check. Parents can sign up by calling the Learning
Center office, ext. 166 or click here for more information. This service is
free.


NILD Discovery Program
For students who have had psycho-educational testing and have been
identified as needing support in developing processing and cognitive
development, the Discovery Program is a good fit. Individual students
meet twice a week with an educational therapist who will assist students
in acquiring skills and strategies for learning. Visit the NILD website for
more details about the program.


Student Learning Potential Profiles (SLPP)
Students who have received a psycho-educational evaluation or who
have other medical diagnoses that impact learning can receive a SLPP.
This document assists teachers in providing accommodations and/or
modifications in the classroom. The cost is $200 per academic year. For
further information, call the LC office.


Tutoring Services
Approved CAK tutors are available to serve individual students on
campus during school hours. The cost is $37.50/session. Please call
