SCHOOL COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY & DOMAINS

Believing that each student is “God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for him to do” (Eph. 2:10), Christian Academy of Knoxville’s School Counseling Department works in partnership with parents to help students understand and implement the unique plan that God has for their lives.

The Counseling Department uses a Biblical approach to school counseling, and incorporates the ASCA National Model of School Counseling and Tennessee’s State Standards for school counseling as a means of meeting the individual needs of each of our students. CAK’s comprehensive school counseling program provides information, resources, and assistance pertaining to: Academic, Social, Personal, Spiritual, Career, and College Planning.
