Can it really be the last week of school? Where has the year gone? Field day was a great day. Thanks to all the parents that volunteered or spent the morning helping me keep everyone safe and in the right place. This week we will continue with our learning as we wrap up the year. We will focus on Tennessee and owls, my 2 favorite things. I will be sending home a packet on Friday that can be completed this summer. It is totally optional but will be a great way to stay sharp for second grade. I will also include a list of good websites or apps that the students will enjoy but learn as they have fun in the folder. I will also be sending home the workbooks with pages that can be completed. We do a lot of hands on learning and don't get all the pages completed during the year, so that is another thing they can use to stay on track. We still have time to meet our AR goals for this quarter. Please encourage your child to keep reading and meet their goal before Friday.
This will be my final webpage update. What a joy and a privilege it has been to partner with you this year. Your children are amazing and I pray the very best for them. Please keep in touch! My email as of Friday will be email@example.com and you can find me on social media. I will always have a special spot in my heart for your children so please share with me how they are doing from time to time. You will remain in my prayers. All my best,
May 20 Tennessee Day (Students may wear Tennessee tops with uniform bottoms or jeans.)
May 21 Owl Day
May 23 Clean out day- please bring a bag to help with clean up. Afternoon fun led by our 8th graders.
May 24 Last Day of School! We will have a sweet time with just the kids and me, followed by a time of fun and fellowship (anyone is welcome) until dismissal. Students are free to go at the conclusion of our time together around 10:30.
We will share some special devotions this week as we wrap up the school year. If your child would like to bring one in, please email me this weekend. We will not have a new verse this week.
We will be reading fiction and non fiction books about owls this week. So many are close to meeting their AR goals, so please encourage them to finish strong!
