Christian Academy of Knoxville provides a Home School program that satisfies the requirements of the State Department of Education and the Association of Christian Schools International. Families enrolling in the CAK Home Study program must meet the following criteria.
Home School Enrollment Criteria
At least one parent must be a professing Christian who is part of a worshipping body of believers (a reference from the church’s pastor must be on file).
The main teaching parent must not be employed outside the home between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
All reports concerning attendance and grades must be turned in on the specified dates. If these dates are not met, a late fee will be assessed.
Curriculum is to be chosen by the parents. A list of curriculum being used must be turned in annually.
Stanford Achievement Tests are administered in the spring, and are required for 2nd through 8th Grades. This is optional for 1st Grade.
Submit previous academic records.
Submit child’s medical entry exam form and immunization record on form PH2414 or PH3722 (original green form is required—available from your Doctor or Health Department).
Turn in a copy of each student’s Birth Certificate.
New families must register in person.
Families who live within our local calling radius are given priority.
Tuition & Fees
$100 per student (grades K through 8). For a family of three or more children the fee is $90 per student. After August 15th through December of the same year, the registration fee goes up to $115 per student.
$25 application fee for new families.
Make checks or money order payable to CAK Home School. We do not accept cash. All fees are nonrefundable.
