End of School Communication

May 26, 2017

Dear CAK Families,

As the 2016-2017 school year is winding down, we want to take a minute to thank each of you for your commitment to CAK. It is your faith, trust and belief in the mission of our school that sustains us. We respect the sacrifice each family makes to send their child to CAK! We strive to work alongside you to educate your child, giving them the tools they need to become servants, scholars, and disciples. We welcome those families joining us next year. We look forward to getting to know your child and partnering with your family for the 2017-2018 school year.

Final grades will be available via RenWeb on Friday, May 26 after 3:00 p.m. Hard copies of the report card will be mailed to you shortly afterward along with standardized test results for students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Included with the test results will be explanatory information to help you better interpret the results.

Please see the second page of this email letter with links to important elementary school information that you will need for this summer and the beginning of the new school year. It will guide you to our website and help you find all the information and forms you will need before your child returns to school on Wednesday, August 9. There is also an important note from the clinic regarding medication, etc. listed after all the links.

Please set aside the evening of Monday, August 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for the Pre-K - 12th Grade Back to School Picnic. Between 5:00-6:00 p.m., you can visit the classroom and meet your child's teacher. Dinner and family activities will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Class lists will be sent out prior to the Back to School Picnic.) Please go to the following link to see more details about this fun and informative event:

CAK’s summer hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday from June 5 – July 21. The school will be closed on Fridays due to routine maintenance and preparation for the new school year. Please call ahead to make sure we are here since the elementary building may need to be closed on certain unannounced days for larger maintenance projects.

We pray you have a happy, relaxing and safe summer with your family. Over the summer, we ask that you begin praying for the 2017-2018 school year. Please pray for the summer planning process as well as rest and renewal of our faculty and staff. Also, pray for a smooth transition for our new students and God's blessing and protection over our campus. Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you over this past year to support your child's educational journey in a Christ-centered environment.

Please check our website at frequently throughout the summer for new and additional information.

In Christ’s Service,

Mrs. Kelly Kennedy, Elementary Principal

Mrs. Jessica Thomas, Elementary Assistant Principal

Important Notes from the Clinic:
Medicine - A signed doctor’s form is required for ALL prescription and over-the-counter medicines (this includes things like cough drops, etc.).
Immunizations - Students must be current on immunizations – JULY 1st IS THE DEADLINE.
Clinic Volunteers - The clinic is in dire need of your help – please consider volunteering. NO experience required! You will be trained by Angela Murray (Medical Coordinator) and Erika Nazerias (Clinic Coordinator) to handle all situations. There is always a staff member available to help at any time. With more volunteers, the amount of time required by our volunteers decreases. All you need to do is love on our sweet students, fix boo boos, and dry tears.
