CAK is accredited by AdvancEd and The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and offers a college prep curriculum with a biblical world view. It is Christian Academy of Knoxville's mission to establish an educational institution where students may also obtain a sound Christian education as an extension of the church and the home. Bible classes offer tremendous opportunity for students to learn God's Word and apply it to their lives. Academically, CAK has been recognized as an institution that provides the kind of quality education that prepares young people for the challenges they will face in life and to gain entry to any college that matches their capabilities.

Expected School-wide Student Outcomes:

For the spiritual and moral growth of the student, the school seeks:

  • to teach and foster right attitudes toward the Bible as God's inspired Word
  • to teach the essential doctrines of the historic Christian faith
  • to lead students into a personal, saving relationship with Christ as Lord and Savior
  • to engender a desire to know and do the will of God
  • to teach students consistent daily Christian living and service, equipping and   encouraging them to witness for Christ
  • to guide students to evaluate all ideas and conduct in order to make wise judgments based on God's absolute truth.  In essence, we will teach them right from wrong
  • to foster self-discipline in the student based on reverence for God and respect for all authority
  • to build in students a God-consciousness and help them develop a consistent Christian philosophy of life by integrating all subjects with the Bible

 For the student’s personal and social well-being, the school aims:

  • to develop a proper understanding and acceptance of themselves as God made them and to help them in the full development of their capabilities in Christ
  • to foster wholesome personal relationships through development of social skills based on the Christian concept of love
  • to prepare for the wholesome and Christian use of leisure time
  • to show a realistic and biblical view of life and work and provide skills for future endeavors in college and/or an occupation
  • to develop the proper attitudes, understandings, and skills necessary to the establishment of God-honoring homes
  • to promote physical fitness, good health habits, and respect for the body as the temple of God
  • to impart biblical attitudes toward material things and to encourage individual responsibility in using them for God's glory

 Academically, the school endeavors:

  • to promote high academic standards that help students gain a comprehensive command of the fundamental processes used in communicating with others
  • to teach and encourage the formation of good study habits
  • to teach students methods of research
  • to develop creative and critical thinking and the proper use of biblical criteria for evaluation
  • to help students develop positive attitudes toward learning
  • to encourage students to realize their full academic potential as individuals uniquely created by God
  • to promote good citizenship through an understanding and appreciation of our Christian and American heritage of freedom and human dignity
  • to impart a knowledge of current world affairs and relate them to God's plan for man
  • to engender an appreciation and enjoyment of the fine arts
  • to encourage students to continue the use of these acquired academic skills to fulfill God's plan for their lives as they face the demands of an ever-changing world
